Rumor: iPhone 5 Battery Capacity Increased To An Additional 10 mAh

There have been new rumors that yet unreleased iPhone 5’s battery capacity has been increased by 10 mAh. The latest iPhone 4S battery capacity is 1440 mAh, so the increase may be seem quite a little ‘bit’ for many Apple fans.

However, even though this increase won’t help that much saying that the new iPhone will have 4G LTE capabilities and a 4 inch 640 X 1136 resolution display, which are quite battery draining features.

Nevertheless, there is no sign that Apple may be working on tweaking the iPhone 5 or iOS 6 so that consumers can get a little more of extra juice from their battery. But if, the alleged leaked battery images are for real, Apple may up its new battery voltage from 3.7V to 3.8V. The battery’s watts-per-hour (wHr) is also higher at 5.45 wHr than the iPhone 4/iPhone 4S’s 5.25 wHr.

Mark Gurman of 9to5Mac said that the Apple may implement a new upgraded battery on its new iPhone or develop a new battery entirely.

Alongside the new battery additional rumors already made news that the new iPhone may have new dock connector the currently found 30-pin connector. But there are speculations that the new dock connector may have 19, 8 or even 9 pins.
