iPhone 5 Displays Will Start Shipping This Month, Says Sharp President

Takashi Okuda, Sharp’s President at a press conference in Tokyo announced that his company will start shipping iPhone 5 displays later this August, Reuters reported.

Reuters also said that the iPhone displays are will be larger, measuring almost 4 inches than the current model iPhone 4S modest 3.5 inch display. Besides, the new iPhone display will be thinner too.
This means that Apple could fit in more components into its new iDevice like a NFC chip and perhaps a bigger battery. Moreover the new iPhone is suggested to have a 19-pin dock connector instead of a 30-pin one found in current iPhones and other Apple devices.

So, whatever Apple’s new iPhone will be called and what feature will it have, it seems that all those rumors and speculation are turning out to be true.

All we can hope that the new iPhone 5 will be on the shelves within September just in time for the holidays shopping season.
