The shipping time of the Apple iPhone 5s has dropped significantly in the US. Instead of waiting for 2-3 weeks for their new iPhone 5s to arrive, now US customers should only have to wait for only 2-3 business days.
It appears that Apple has finally begun to hold up with the tremendous demand of its newest flagship model. However, the reduced delivery time is only available for US for the moment though, but we expect that it will be applicable to other markets as well. The holiday shopping season is very near, as it will be awful if the company can’t be capable of delivering its iPhones on time.
Meanwhile, according to a recent report by DigiTimes, Apple will be closing down its production of the iPhone 5c in one of its Foxconn factories in Zhengzhou, China, and will be switching in producing iPhone 5s instead. The reason is because the plastic iPhone is witnessing poor customer demand and sales.
Earlier in October, there was a report that Apple will be cutting down its iPhone 5c production from 50,000 units per day to only 8,000 units per day at the same Zhengzhou factory. Now, the latest report suggests that Apple is ceasing production of the iPhone 5c permanently.
If this is true, then there is opportunity of Apple Stores in other markets around the world will be able to offer the iPhone 5s with 3-5 business days same as the US. Foxconn’s Zhengzhou factory’s production capacity is 50,000 iPhones per day.
